The World Through the Prism of Warsaw
Art–Olfactory Exhibition
Opening: February 15 – March 1
Osmoteka
ul. Długa 16, Old Town, Warsaw
What if a painting did not end at the frame?
What if every image had a scent — not imagined, but created for it alone?
This Sunday at 16:00, Osmoteka opens a new exhibition where each artwork is paired with a fragrance composed exclusively for that piece. Every scent reflects the emotional core of the painting — its light, its tension, its silence, its pulse.
It is an encounter between vision and memory.
The paintings are available for purchase.
Each artwork leaves its new home accompanied by its unique fragrance — preserving the first moment of seeing, the first spark, the first breath.
Join us in the heart of Warsaw’s Old Town.
Step into a world where art lingers not only on the walls, but in the air.

Voices
50 x 80 cm, mixed media, acrylic and oil
Available for purchase
The cool blue tones of the face intertwine with small pink silhouettes that seem to climb through the mind. This is a visualization of internal dialogue, mental noise, and the search for wholeness in moments of melancholy.
The painting is accompanied by a unique fragrance with notes of floral sweetness and an unsettling hint of morning fog. The scent can evoke feelings of anxiety and confusion. Created at the Osmoteka perfume studio.
“My name is Evgeniya Makarevich, I’m 20 years old, and I’m an artist from Minsk. My creative path began with graphic design—I recently received my bachelor’s degree in this field, and it gave me a strong foundation for working with form and color. But I truly blossom in painting, which I only recently became interested in. In my work, I combine design precision with emotional expression: I explore inner worlds, human fragility, and surreal narratives. For me, the canvas is a space where I can transcend digital standards, experimenting with textures and meanings, transforming personal reflection into a visual language.”

The scent recreated the passion and pain of devoted love: hot notes of chocolate give way to a musty aftertaste. Combined with the painting, it left a lasting impression on exhibition visitors.

Ithaca
100 x 100 cm, oil on canvas
Available for purchase
Every person seeks their own haven. Everyone sails to their own Ithaca, like the ancient Greek Odysseus. To reach somewhere, someone needs to be waiting. The man with the torch on the shore waited. The lonely lighthouse waited. The sky with the fire of the setting sun waited. The hero’s heart waited, burning brightly and illuminating the way.
“My name is Tanteya, I’m an artist and perfumer, a synesthete. I depict scents on canvas. I work with the finest glaze technique, oil, and tempera.”

Oyster Abstraction
100 x 120 cm, Texture paste, acrylic on canvas, matte varnish
Available for purchase
“Oyster Abstraction” is a record of a state of deep trust—in oneself, one’s own path, and the natural rhythm of the world. It is a space free from fear, where everything can happen calmly and exactly as it should. The organic forms evoke the interior of a shell—soft, protective, tender. Just as a pearl is born within, trust matures in silence. A visual reminder that we are exactly where we should be.
“My name is Veranika Kulikouskaya. I am a visual artist working at the intersection of painting and sculpture. I create images that transcend the surface—building them with layers, texture, and the touch of the hand. Matter is a language for me. Instead of the illusion of depth, I choose true volume. Instead of smoothness, I choose the trace of process. The palette knife, structural mass, acrylic, and hands become tools of intuition. At the center of my work is imperfection—I understand it as the most human and true form of beauty. I am interested in moments of transition, the silence between events, and inner states that are difficult to name. My works are an experience. Light captured in form. Movement enclosed in matter.”

The Moment Before Autumn
40 x 50 cm, oil, canvas
Available for purchase
The scent of apple peel, leaves, and damp wood. The light is still warm, but there’s a chill in the air. Time stops just before the season changes. The fragrance created for this painting matches the pre-autumn vibe: it already smells of rotten leaves and grapes, and, of course, apples. What’s special about the apple scent is that it’s created metaphorically, allegorically.
“I am Grace O’Malley. And painting for me is a way to survive.”
The exhibition also features other works, which can be seen until March 1.
